He commenced his career in the meat industry after having a successful career as an executive in the banking industry and owning a financial consulting firm. Sheldon Lavin initially declined the proposal of having an ownership position at Otto & Sons when he was requested by the bank. However, he agreed to be a financial consultant in the firm. Sheldon Lavin later became a partner with Otto & Sons’ two sons when their father retired. McDonald’s requested Lavin to join OSI, the new name of Otto & Sons, on a full-time basis to continue the mutual growth with McDonald’s. OSI Group continued to expand its operations all over Europe and North America in the 1970s. In the early 1980s, Lavin acquired half of the controlling interest in the company when one partner sold out. When the other partner retired, Lavin became the sole owner of OSI Group. The company proceeded to expand in China, Australia, Japan, Philippine, and India.

Bellamy’s includes an astonishing menu, with the combination of expertise from the French chef, Ponsaty, and the newest addition to his team, Reidy.
