Lemon Perfect is a company that sells a water pitcher with top loading filter to improve your health and teach you about how good water can be. It comes with three bottles of lemon-perfect purified alkaline water plus an informative booklet on why bottled water may not be as healthy as you thought.

Yanni Hufnagel wants to empower people to know they drink in pure, healthy, and tasty ways through his products and work at Lemon Perfect. Hufnagel started his career in the industry as an engineer. He graduated from the University of Waterloo but did not finish his degree because he worked part-time at a local farm. Hufnagel was working on ATVing with his brother when they encountered a tractor needing repairs. They repaired and used it to sell it for extra income. This company began Hufnagel’s entrepreneurial skills and passions.

Hufnagel also has an interest in music. He also started guitar lessons when he was 9 years old and played in a band. Yanni went on to study classical guitar at McGill University and Tanglewood Music Center when he was 23 years old. Hufnagel used his entertainment job as an example of his passion for entrepreneurship, inspiring him that he could make a name for himself in the industry.

To start Lemon Perfect, Hufnagel had to find a good team of people that he thought could work together and have an idea of how to get the product out into the world. After he had his team, Hufnagel became a student at the Natural Capitalism Institute, where he understood why people sell lemon ideally and what they wanted in it. He was able to take the ideas that these people had and make them reachable.

The company was designed to sell disposable water bottles at girls’ sporting events. It did not succeed because no one wanted to buy empty water bottles in bulk and carry them all day.
