Former Pittsburgh Steelers great Ben Roethlisberger and country music great Micah Tyler are teaming up to help the unfortunate in the city of Pittsburgh. The “Different” campaign is an effort to feed the homeless population around Pittsburgh. The Light of Light Rescue Mission will be providing the meals, and Roethlisberger’s foundation will match all donations.
“I am really grateful to be part of this tremendous effort. It really makes a difference in the community, and I’m glad that Micah, as a celebrated musician is part of the effort,” said Ben Roethlisberger.
Micah Tyler says he has been a big fan of Big Ben for a long time. Tyler says he met Ben Roethlisberger and his family backstage in 2019 after a show. He says they first began talking about the Different campaign and brainstorming about the black and gold shirt for a special cause. The goal is to help and serve all of the community with a level of dignity and respect.
“Once we found out that Light of Life was part of the equation, we knew they would be the perfect teammate,” said Tyler.
People can find the t-shirts on www.thedifferentshirt.com starting on Friday.
Ben Roethlisberger has been on the scene helping and giving back to the community for many years now. Since he retired from the Pittsburgh Steelers, he and his foundation have worked tirelessly to push family values and ways to bridge gaps for the common cause.
“We are really grateful to Ben and Micah for everything they have done in helping Pittsburgh’s homeless population. Our doors are open to all people who are in need of help,” said Rev. Jerrel T. Gilliam, Executive Director of Light of Life.
People can also find T-shirts in small, medium, large, 1X, 2X, and 3X for $25. They will also be available at the PPG Paints Arena. Read this article for more information.
