Ms. Gretchen Robinson was born in Arlington, VA, and lived her early life in Washington, Columbia. She loves cooking, entertaining movies, reading, and traveling. She holds a BA and a Jurist Doctor Degree. She attained her Bachelor’s degree in French and Anthropology from the University of Virginia and later earned her Jurist Doctor’s from the American University Washington College of Law.

Ms. Robinson began her law career in the Queen’s District Attorney’s office before joining the Civilian Complaint Review Board, where she served in the Administrative Prosecution Unit. She later joined the state Government as the Compliance &Internal Control Officer for Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation, which is the organization dedicated to operating, developing, and maintaining Roosevelt Island. She served as senior Counsel to the Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development before transitioning to General Counsel.
