IM Academy was founded in 2007 by Hagen Pfister as an educational resource for himself and his associates. He originally wanted to create a trading program for his investments. Hagen was a software developer who developed his guidance system for investing. He had decided to build his trading platform, which he named ‘Target Forex.’Hagen had hired some programmers to help develop the program for him. It was also known as ‘Target Forex.’The programmers were excited about the project and had worked for a few months.

It has achieved several awards, including the Financial Times Most Read Investment Blog Award and the TRADE Magazine Best Methodology Awards, as well as being a finalist in the Forex Trader Magazine Forex Trader 2005 Awards. It was awarded the Best Forex Trader Awards in 2009 by FutureMoneyTrends.com.
It is now sold worldwide at over a hundred websites. It was also awarded the Expert Insider Award by MFCommon.com.It is also the recognized winner of the November 2006 Investment Competition, hosted at www.Bank-Whores.com.
IM aims to educate individuals seeking to improve their investing and business strategies.
