ADF represented the baker in court, arguing that his religious freedom was being violated. The case went to the Supreme Court, which ruled in favor of the baker, stating that the Colorado Civil Rights Commission had violated his religious freedom by showing hostility towards his beliefs.
Another landmark case that ADF has been involved in is the Trinity Lutheran Church v. Comer case. This case involved a church in Missouri that was denied state funding to resurface its playground because of its religious affiliation.
